The charging process of a traditional battery can be obtained with any battery chargers, whereas the recharge of sealed lead-acid hermetic batteries must be carried out exclusively by a system provided with endcharge devices in order to prevent damage and, at worst, explosion of the battery. The CP/BP battery chargers represent the result of long experience in the field of special applications: - automatic battery chargers for the land-reclamation sector, electro-medical equipment and protective helmets for agriculture. The decision to charge each battery with specific current allows for reliable results and an average life of the accumulators even longer than that declared by the manufacturers.The CP battery charges can automatically recharge all6V or 12 V hermetic batteries with capacities from 1,2 Ah to 25 Ah in 10-12 hours and batteries up to 40Ah in 20 hours. When the recharge process is completed, an electronic device automatically allows for disconnection of the charger, which remains in stand-by mode until another charging process is required. This system allows the battery charger to remain always connected to the battery in order to preserve it at the maximum efficiency when it is not used for some length of time. The CP12 battery charger is provided with a 12-position commutator indicating the standard batteries capacities, a mains switch, two LEDs indicating the battery status (charging / charged), other two LEDs indicating the kind of battery (6V or 12V), and a fuse to prevent the output from short circuits or polarity inversion. It is therefore an easy-to-use device in spite of its charging system complexity. The CP120 model is mainly aimed at the most demanding and specialized customers: - provided with a commutator to select6V or 12V batteries,1/2" 3-digit display on which battery voltage or charging current can be displayed, potentiometer to set up the charging current, fuse to protect the output from short circuits or polarity inversion. The BP models are provided with fixed charging current for small batteries from 12 and 24 Volts.
